On this week's episode of the Pure Football Podcast, midfielder Cesc Fabregas welcomed Guillem Balague into his home (virtually, of course) to discuss how he's been coping in lockdown, his obsession with football and a desire to reconnect with Arsene Wenger.

He spoke about how his family are affected by his performances and the high demands that he puts on himself:

"My wife knows that when I finish a game and we didn't win or I didn't play well, when I open the door of the house, she knows my face. If I am happy, she can be around. If I am not happy, she knows she has to lock the door of the room and stay away from me for whatever it takes."

As well, Cesc expressed a desire to reconnect with his former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger after the way in which he departed the London club to move to force a move to Barcelona.

"I recently said that I was pushy when I left Arsenal. I think it was the only way to go to Barcelona at the moment that I wanted, and yes I was pushy. I don't think he deserved it."

"For eight years, we protected each other, loved each other, what he did for me. I always say that he is like a second father to me. He's done absolutely everything."
